MEETINGS FOR ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

A Meeting for receiving the anointing of the Holy Spirit is held every year at Tirupathur Why is anointing necessary? Anointing is necessary for sanctification. 'Moses poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head and anointed him to sanctify him' (Lev 8:12).

Furthermore, these Meetings also aims at helping a person to praise and worship God in spirit and truth 'Thou art God, who inhabitest the praises of Israel' (Psalm 22:3).
